My favorite submission from my Drawing Two course. The requirement was that it was to be at least 28 inches in one dimension. Everything else was up to us. I used 4 pieces of paper to create one large image with dimensions of 36 inches by 44 inches the entire piece was completed using marker and oil pastels. I had taken a photo at Thanksgiving that I just loved and I wanted to use it for my project. The idea was to show the beauty of the most mundane part of a holiday. Showing the light shining in a glass is like showing how we can make something that really was tragic and a horrible event in history, into an excuse to see family and share each other’s company in a world where we could just ignore each other.
